Nail Fungus Treatment Options
Ignore
When left unchecked, the fungus gradually moves from the nail tip to the root, making the nail thicker, more discoloured, and prone to ingrowing, which can result in discomfort. Additionally, it can spread to neighbouring toes and the other foot.
Over the Counter Nail Paints
These treatments are an affordable and convenient choice, but they often don’t live up to their claims. Their low success rate is due to their inability to effectively penetrate the nail. We offer alternative solutions and stock exclusive nail polishes not found in chemists.
Oral Medications
While oral antifungals can be effective, they may not be the right choice for everyone due to their cost, possible liver and kidney side effects, or reluctance to take medication. The need for blood tests every 4 to 6 weeks to assess liver function indicates their potential risks.
Surgery
Toenail fungus tends to inhabit the nail bed, so partial nail removal may not prevent it from recurring. In advanced, painful cases, the entire nail can be removed and destroyed, leaving only skin, which some may find cosmetically undesirable.
Laser Treatment
Laser treatment for fungal nails works by stimulating blood vessels that supply the nail, increasing circulation to the new nail plate while using heat to eliminate the fungal infection. This promotes healthier nail regrowth.
Laser technology is evolving quickly, with older models in use for 5–10 years and newer, more effective lasers offering better fungal eradication. We utilise the only Class 4 Laser approved for treating nail fungus, while most others on the market are Class 1 or Class 2.

After carefully evaluating different laser treatments, we found two technologies that stood out. Instead of choosing just one, we invested in both to ensure optimal results. By using the Class-2 Lunula Cold Laser alongside the Class-4 K-Laser in each appointment, we achieved better outcomes, helping clients get the clear, healthy nails they wanted.
